WILLOW

Welcome back Willow by Consul out of our foundation mare Netian.  In June 2012 we drove 10 hours to Michigan to pick up my favorite horse - Willow.  Willow was our first embryo transfer foal.  We sold her when she was a young horse, and now she is back at Maple Crest Sport Horses. Willow (now 12) has blossomed into a beautiful hunter/jumper - like her full-brother Zachary (now High Consul), purchased by Upland Farm.  Willow is in foal to Laroche, and a May 2015 baby is expected.

NETIAN (1994-2012)

Netian (a.k.a. Nikita) was a ster, keur Dutch Warmblood mare imported from Holland by Iron Spring Farm. Her sire was Ahorn Z (Alme'). Netian was ranked third in North America at the ster inspection, and second in the IBOP (dressage & jumping) test at the Dutch keurings.  Netian had great impulsion and a powerful canter. Netian had rare bloodlines to be found in the U.S.A.  She produced nine foals, four via embryo transfer (ET).  Ultimus, Willow, Zachary (High Consul), Zarina, Alexandria, Annesette, Chardonnay (Charlotte), DaVinci (by Laroche) and Fiona (by Laroche).  In 2006 she was approved by the American Hanoverian Society after scoring an overall 8.2 for her Mare Performance Test and 9's for jumping technique and ability.  She was also approved by the American Holsteiner Association.  Her pedigree can be seen by clicking on her name Netian  Sadly, Netian passed away in August 2011 due to complications from liver cancer.

Sire - "Ahorn Z"
Netian's sire, Ahorn Z, is famous for producing international show jumpers and breeding stallions. Ahorn Z produced many approved stallions, including Accord II.  He is by the legendary Alme Z. Netian's granddam is legendary Holsteiner mare Heureka, the international jumper and winner of the prestigious Grand Prix of Aachen. At Zangersheide Stud in Belgium, Heureka was THE foundation mare for the famous Z-line, and she produced Agentina Z (full sister to Ahorn Z), who produced Rebel Z and the Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup Champion-Ratina Z.
